Fluidity explorations

In Sync with : Ar. Mariana Cabugueira [AA DRL, London].

Purpose : Learning Autodesk maya and exploring its possibilities

Overview : Understanding the possibilities of MAYA certainly open wider scope to the fluidic interpretation of architecture. Using various complex technique, Diverse morphologies of form is achieved as the outcome of the workshop. A style of fluidic parametric design is presented to showcase abstract variations along with the use of MASH. Keyshot was used as a rendering medium for the following result.

Tools : Autodesk MAYA, KeyShot, Photoshop.

Design approach

To depict a dystopian pavilion, I gathered some inspiration and created a mood board to capture the tone and feel.

Capturing the tone and feel of the world gave a sense of direction and foundation to build upon. The idea was to not think but rather experiment with an agile approach.

Using procedural method in Maya and millions of nodes later, A foundation skeleton was incarnated to render.

KeyShot made it possible to produce realistic lighting and depiction of my thought-process into reality.

I used RunwayML to transform static render into a motion video, something that could've taken hours in other softwares.

The result was a satisfactory, subtle and rather experimental fusion of abstract and tangible dystopian depiction of tangible space that upon further exploration could be transformed into a more habitable one. (Wild Justification but okay)

I also explored few more designs for the pavilion in a more subtle monochromatic tone and lightweight, something that depicts reality than dream.
